Hi there:

I am a newbie who is really enthusiastic about cars and also becoming a bit of a Lexus Enthusist. I do have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to.

On the US Website for Lexus it talks about a sport package being available and a premium package being available for the IS 250/350. When I go to my specific region (California) I can't build a sport package IS 250/350 at all. Is there a reason for this? Are they not available for that area? Or what is Lexus doing here?

Regards:

Mike Hendrick

Welcome! It's quite simple, Lexus and the dealer representatives basically decide which combinations of options to send to which regions. If you plus in another zipcode in the Lexus web site, say 02111 for Boston, you'll find that there is different availability. When it comes down to getting what you want, you can always special order through your dealer to match what is in the brochure..

Hope that helps.

LEM144 is correct if you want the SPORT or LUX Pkg, some cities (like mine, Houston) you HAVE to special order to get.

Its freakin idiotic that Lexus does this in my opinion....

So I take it....i have to go to my local dealer and say look I'd like to order a sports package...and give them the run down on what I would like?

Okeee that makes it interesting...

Thanks for the clarification....

your best bet is to pre order a sports package. when dealers do get a sports package that hasn't been pre ordered it ususally doesn't stay on the lot very long.
