So, I guess Team Lexus has not completed the 2 IS350's yet for the ALMS race this weekend at Sebring. There is no Lexus on the entry list. Anyone know the status of their development? I can't wait to see them on the track.

I think Team Lexus is far from ready at the moment. I still want to know if they are really going to use the factory automatic transmission. I can't fathom the idea of how a automatic would work under such stress and conditions, let alone comply with every command to the driver. I'm sure it won't be a stock transmission.

So, where's your car Vincent? I want a ride.

I recall reading an article in AutoWeek that stated that the Lexus team would join the ALMS series "...later in the year". They didn't give a date or race event.

During the SpeedTV IS350 Test Drive the Team Lexus interview stated they were going to use the automatic tranny. But, ya, I'm very interested to see if that's what they actually use when they enter their first race this year. It does not look to be Sebring.

BTW the video can be found:

it's the "Test Drive Lexus IS350" video

They've announced a few times on the Sebring coverage that Lexus will be at the Houston event... I'm very curious to see their debut.

For Direct TV users, it should be Speed Channel # 607 on the West Coast
