I was pulling up to autozone last night and notice the driveway entrance had unusual slope,
when i made a right turn to go in the driveway i heard this LOUD pop that came from the driverside,sound like someone just my side with a baseball bat. i got out and check it but everything was fine.

This my be the most stupid idea but, Could the crumple Zone made that sound because of driving through that wierd slope.

 

The "crumple zone" isn't an object. It's just a portion of the car made up of all kinds of different components that's made to give when when you're in an accident.

 

Used to have the same problem. Popped about 3-4 times and its been about a month or two since the last pop and I dont hear the pops anymore. I am guessing it was the springs?

 

same deal... scared teh **** out of me at first but it hasnt happened for a while

 

If it is like a loud plastic crack that happens once in the morning when the car is warming up I have that as well. It's like something in the dash expands but is held for a a while before eventually popping into place.
