If you take a dab of flat black paint and black out the inside of the tailpipes, you'll make a big improvement. I do this with all my model tailpipes and smoke stacks and it transforms them.

That will also work. But Sharpies often leave a glossy or purplish finish on shiny surfaces. Probably not enough to be seen though.

Jordan, do you know where your family bought this in China? Does it say the manufacturer of the diecast model under the model itself?

Not sure but I might be able to get someone to find it depending where it is.

Looks nice! Gets some flat black Testors model paint and a Q-Tip and fill in the exhaust pipes. It'll help add some depth to your tail pipes. You could also mask off an area on the roof (don't forget rounded edges) and flat it gloss black to create the look of a sunroof.

Ah ok. Well, if anything my aunt in China could do she could only check toy stores in Shanghai anyways. I doubt she'll find it among the toy vendors they might have there but if she does get it, then that's great.

I've searched on ebay even before my last post, but maybe I'm putting in the wrong search terms. Like gemeni1 is asking, do you happen to have a link to one of the results on ebay? I keep seeing the Bburago diecast IS350 pop up in several results but it only has the same rims as the one you have.

Heh heh. Yeah my brother and I have been burned on ebay in the past so I definitely know what you mean.
