Are you sure they are the same ones? I got my car in Calgary 3 months ago and didn't get any.

I think that works out to $1.70US each, but the 500 piece minimum quantity might be tight. Also it appears that these would need to be manufactured so the timeline is still unknown. Let me know what other questions I should ask or if you have any other ideas. Maybe we can have the excess items sold on CL but I'm not sure about the trademark. I do have another pic of the item that I can post later.

Okay, just spoke with my parts guy. He hadn't heard of these and checked with the sales mgr as I said someone got one when he picked up his car. They said the only ones they have given out that they know of are the ones from the factory, which are the cheaper plastic ones. I've sent him the link to this and he will keep his eyes out. Sorry guys - maybe Carson?

krookid - Who was your salesman? Yours are the leather ones that look exactly like the ones in the picture?

Or Ken can become an eBay Powerseller very quickly!! Sell the excess on ebay at $7.50+ shipping a pop and get a nice ROI.

I wonder what the turnaround time would be getting them from Taiwan.

From the sounds of it he got the other ones. Not the leather one. Thats what i would bet. But still. If that company only sell 500 at a time how did that first one show up. They had to make more then just his if they really did come from that company? So who ordered the first set? where did they go? IS this somthing maybe japan dealers are giving out?

And I would do that except for one thing. If these have to be manufactured, how do I know if the Lexus logo is being used properly? I can't sell these in the US without complying with the trademark.

maybe contact Lexus corporate and ask them about it?

or just have the guy make them without the logo??

well, after re-reading your post....they come shipped with the logo face down, just don't advertise them on ebay displaying the logo maybe...nothing wrong with selling something for a Lexus key...."oh the logo? I didn't see it on there"
