Default how well do clear bras age?

So how well do clear bras age? Do they discolor/yellow/crack/get brittle?

Just curious. You all are starting to scare me!

My 1999 BMW that I turned in had so many rock chips that it looked like someone sprinkled salt on the bumber. So, it's not just Lexus.
Since my IS is black I got the clear bra. I've only had the car a month, but I would still recommend the bra.
You can't see it at all from a few feet away.

If taken care of they age well. 303 Aerospace protectant is good for them as well as putting a synthetic sealant over them.

Id normally think the clear bra was a waste of money, but if the paint on our
bumpers is really THAT thinnly coated, I might think twice..

my 95 SC400 has hardly any rock chips... I do wax it 3-5 times a month though, as did the original owner haha.

Why would you think that a clear bra would be a waste of money?

How bad does it need to get before Lexus does something? I asked
the dealership about this and the rust warranty

Their answer was that the rust warranty is only for rust from the inside out.

I contacted Lexus Canada, and they said that there was nothing wrong with the paint, and they wouldn't do anything about the fact that it chips and scratches like crazy, and that my car arrived with several scratches on it. Hopefully, owners will continue to contact Lexus about the quality of the paint, and something will eventually be done...
