This is my first post to these forums.
I am seriously considering purchasing the IS and would love to purchase the manual trans. but I was wondering, does it really only get 20mpg city 29 hwy??

I've searched the forums and it was difficult to find information from the owners of the IS250 Manual Trans, the actual mpg they were getting.

Could some of the IS250 MT owners please post the mpg that you have been getting? and possibly the % city driving and % hwy driving? it's just hard to imagine that there is such a significant difference mileage between auto and manual.

btw, this clublexus forum is great and has helped me decide on the IS over the tsx and bmw 3series.

 

I have the manual transmission and I get around 34 mpg tops but never under 31 mpg on my highway trips about 100 miles round trip. In the city I seem to get around 26 mpg on average. This is all according to my display on the dash.

 

So does that mean the EPA ratings are wrong?

 

I suppose so, thats just my averages.. maybe someone else can chime in.

im gona say.. 250 of my 370 is from highway, i get 370 from a full tank, pretty good from the old 250 mpg of my old is300

 

the is300 got 250 mpg!?!? just kidding, LOL
