Default Sport Pedal Switch

Just got a new Matador Red IS350 with ML/Nav and luxury package (I'd given up home on the sports package).

Anyways, just received a set of aluminum sport pedals from the my.is store. Anyone know how to remove the original footrest and the original gas pedal???

Thanks!

OK, got the dead pedal off. Took a little bit of effort, but it literally pulls right off. The aluminum one just snaps back into the original retention clips.

But I'm not sure how to remove the old gas pedal. The retention pin holding it to the lever is hollow through its entirety. Anyone have any ideas how to remove the pin??

Yeah...I actually did the same on my C6 this last summer. It WAS a big pain. But at least it had a retention pin you could grab and pull....

The gas pedal is another story. I noticed that there was a hollow pin holding the pedal in place. I just came back from my local Lexus dealer and one of the techs told me he would have to remove the entire pedal assembly in order to remove the pin. In addition, the pin may have to be replaced. He stated that the pedal was designed not to come off. I was quoted (1) labor hour = $100.00
