I have a deposit down on an IS250 AWD which was promised around the 24th, but has apparently been held up by the accelerator pedal service campaign and holiday shipping slow-downs. My dealer's telling me now the date's between the 29th and the 7th of January.
Can anyone back this up? Are the parts in the USA? Is the work done at the dealer or at the port? Are there repaired AWDs being released to the public right now? If not, what's a more realistic date to expect an AWD with the required repair?

TOday I received a call from my dealer's service department to inform me of the recall and to schedule an appointment asap since all the parts ARE already available in the US.

Mine arrived at port yesterday, and the fix was already done. Now I'm just waiting for the truck to be loaded to bring it to VA. I've been told it could be as early as Friday.

Congrats and I hope you enjoy it! Lexus is THIS close to losing me. With the recent delivery delay, compounded on to the limited color selection, immobile price, and restricted option availability, I'm about ready to move on. It's a compelling automobile, but for the money, I can find other makers who can deliver my first choice in features, accessories and colors, and can have it in my driveway tomorrow by dinner time at a substantial discount under MSRP. That, too, is compelling to me. I've got a phone call scheduled with a general manager or some such tomorrow to air my grievances. We'll see what he's got to say.Originally Posted by Pete C

Nevertheless, enjoy your car, and post pics. Everyone loves pics!
