Mine was replaced about 2 weeks ago. Dealer did the accelerator pedal TSB at the same time. Nice to have everything working right again.

Funny, I hadn't even seen this thread until I searched for it, after my dealershp, working on the alignment issue called to tell me there was a recall for the seatbelts and they're going to replace BOTH front assemblies. Did any of you have problems with the REAR seat belts? I wouldn't know, since NO one ever sits back there.

I called roadside assistance but they don't handle that sort of stuff. I guess it's off to the dealer for a visit. Anyone else experiencing this glitch?

I saw this:

Special Service Campaign (SSC) 6LC Q&A
Early 2006 Model Year Lexus IS and GS – Front Seat belt Assemblies

Q1: What is the condition?
A1: In certain early 2006 Model Year Lexus IS and GS vehicles, if the front seat belt retractors (both driver and front passenger) become locked, they may not release due to a component of the emergency locking system. If the seat belt is locked in this condition, the occupant may not be able to properly fasten the seat belt. Customers may reduce the likelihood of this occurring on their vehicle by pulling out the seat belt slowly until the Safety Recall repair has been performed.

I have not had any issue with the rear seat belts.

They get used about once a week.

When my car was in for the repair last year, they only did one seatbelt.

I guess the car will have another visit to the dealer soon.

An Ipod would be nice if that is in the cards.

for anyone that might of had their seatbelt replaced a while ago...you will still need to have it replaced again
i was at lexus today and they said the parts they used on mine back in december was a better version of the defective seatbelt..the ones they are replacing it with now for the recall are made by a completely different company and they recommend having it replaced with this new piece again
