Big Discounts on IS
Was able to get $2500 off MSRP from Wilde Lexus in Sarasota. Best deal around. Very friendly and competent sales guy there too. Send them an internet request and he will get right back to you.

Your dealer is right in that the only "option" in the northeast is Nav. All the AWD models are coming with Park Assist here, so Nav is the only other available option.

Thank you for that information, now I know what to look for when a dealer tries to shove me into a car claiming it has everything

which dealer in so cal?
Not true. I was at the Lexus dealer in Cerritos a week ago and they had only one IS350 w/Nav on the lot. While I was there to test drive it two other couples were waiting for a test drive in that same car! I asked the salesman about knocking some $$ off MSRP and he said won't because they can move what they have at MSRP.
Based on his insane foot traffic and low inventory I'm thinking I believe him. I'm hoping the inventory situation improves in January.

Of course, you might have to drive a few hundred miles to pick it up...
Damn was that bump for me?
My bad, I hadnt seen the thread, been driving my new IS 350 around (picked up last sat)
I summarized my deal over on another forum.
To answer the original question, 1.5-2K off MSRP is what the salesperson quoted me for either the 250 or 350 in White or Silver (PP/18s) at South Bay Lexus. SGM a pretty rare color was slightly higher at 1K below MSRP. Basically, I figured if he can just quote me those numbers right off the bat, I figured he can do alot better (like 3-4K off since salepeople lie!). Later on, I found out that Jeffyee123 on this forum got like 3.5K off MSRP so I had a good idea of what to expect. From my conversation with all the different salesman, it was clear that you could score better deals on a car that was on the lot, as opposed to special order. And one that didnt have NAV.
Between that day and sat, I decided that SGM wasnt the color for me and that tungsten was more preferable. This opened the door for alot more dealer competition, as many dealers have the Tungsten on their lot. The deal I got was 37.7K out the door for a Tungsten Pearl/Black with PP and 18"s about 3.5K off MSRP at Lexus of Mission Viejo.
The dealerships at Southbay, Westminster and MV were all willing to do around 1K over invoice when I indicated I was serious about buying. Even the one with NAV at Westminster, willing to do 1.5K above invoice. I think the key is to negotiate a car on the lot. But of course every single sales guy I dealt with initially gave me the "we are selling these cars at MSRP!" BS. And maybe some are, like special order ones. If so, it explains the indifferent attitude of the fleet managers.
I got tired of them not calling back and not giving me a price so I decided to deal with regualr salespeople instead. Much better, IMO.
If you can wait, im sure a better deal awaits in Jan. Good luck, there is alot of competition in socal so it definitely works to our advantage.
