Original Brakes Lifespan
I have a 2008 IS 250 with 62,000 miles and live in the somewhat hilly San Francisco Bay Area. The front discs were replaced at 48,000 miles and looks like the rears still have some time. Just wondering how many miles folks have gotten out of their original brakes?

It really depends on your driving style and where you live (metropolitan, suburban, country). Mileage will vary greatly between different drivers who live in different environments. In SF, brake life will be much less than someone from Kansas. Just keep an eye on and measure pad thickness.

I think they should last you a while unless you get a seized rear caliper. When I got my car at around 60,000 miles or 100,000 kms the front pads still had plenty of life left on them and the rear pads were basically done.
