Wanna turn off VDIM? :)

I turned mine off one night coming home from the gym. Wanted to get a little drift going around a corner, ended up going down the street sideways for about 1/32 of a mile. Probably should have a little more respect then I did on a public road.
Learned 2 lessons
-wait until tires warm up
-probably better when asphalt is warm as well

This is not to lecture you or anything, more like sharing from what I learned through mistakes myself:
1. Pay attention to the noise, the higher it gets, that is the warning that tells you you are about to get over the limit of the traction. It can happens very fast.
2. Ease off (not lift off) the gas a little bit smoothly. The weight is about to transfer from the back to the front.
3. Once you know your rear is getting light, get ready to COUNTER STEER.
4. Now once you do counter steer, be ready to apply a little bit of gas to balance the car (to transfer a little bit weight from front to the back).
5. Straighten out the steering wheel
Warning: Do NOT slam on the brake when the rear goes loose because this will only spins you out due to wheel lock up.
This is how my brand new Hankook tires look like after one autocross powerslide/drifting session. I would invite you to see my thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...b-for-fun.html

Here ya go folks... as posted at another site!
FYI, I take NO responsibility for how many tires you shred because of this OR any accidents. Be SAFE!!! I AM told that ABS stays on, a fuse needs to be pulled to disable that.
"as it states in the 2006 avalon owners manual ....start the car with the parking prake on ....then foot brake twice....(keep the foot brake down)....then parking brake twice (keep it down )and repeat till skid light is on the dash.....it will reset when you restart the car"
