my bad not everyone is a baller like you.. if i wanted to hide what trim level i purchased wouldnt i just put a 350 emblem on it? hiding trim level of a car isnt the only reason people remove their emblems. personally i dont like the way the emblems look on the trunk of the car. if i could remove the "L" emblems id remove those too.

How about sticking them to your windows then?

doesn't your statement disprove itself. You can't really "hide" the fact that you drive a lower trim model if you're saying the only intelligible reason why people would do that is to hide the trim level.

I did it to my old 3-series and my evo, b/c uh, it looks a whole lot cleaner without the little letters here and there, and every now and then, if you get a parking ticket from someone who doesn't know what the car is, you just might luck out and have a good grounds for getting that ticket dismissed. ive done it before, when a parking lady thought my evo was a wrx.

I suppose it's personal preference for a "cleaner" look. I don't see people debadging their M cars, Posche or Ferrari, though; that'd be like cutting out the little man on a horse on your Polo shirt. I was thinking of putting a 430 badge on an IS350, just to throw people off.

I was thinking along the same lines. Maybe replacing the 2 with a 3 in my (soon) IS250 AWD.

Sorry, I know you're trying to formulate an intelligent comment , but what the heck are you talking about?

Evidently, a majority of every day drivers debadge their car just so they can hide their lower trim model, which is fine...... just be ready to explain to your girfriend why you were beaten from the stoplight by a SE Altima or worse yet a V6 Accord.

If you replace the 2 with a 3, make sure you replace the AWD sign too or people will be laughing at you.

Many people don't know there is no such thing as 350AWD or a 430.

True, but what's the point of changing the emblem then?

That was my joke, to make it look like a 350 AWD. I'd never debadge any of my cars though.

I would never debadge my IS 350 either, but changing the sign to a 325 or 330 would be funny.

And I would never eat seafood because I think its freakin gross.

It's been said several times already, people just like the clean look of no emblems and they don't care if others know what kind of car they drive or not. Some of my cars were badged, some not. Or some partial. If you like your emblems, good for you. May they bring you many years of enjoyment.

I didn't know that an emblem can bring a person enjoyment.....

We have no problem with people debadging their cars for aesthetic purposes, but they are in a minority. Many people, for example, debadge their Civic DX's to make it an SI or whatever, but no one cares because Civics are cheap cars anyway. If your car is cheap or ugly, removing the emblems will not help it any....
