To all new IS owner/any new IS expert:

I am on a long road commute each day listen to mp3.. I had my own setup w/ wire everywhere now.. I want to get an integrate setup with new IS when I get it. Yes, I am super techie w/ these stuff. Please help answer my question... Thanks in advance.

I know in the New IS, owner can hookup the AUX to their Ipod/mp3 player.

1. Ipod question - Can you change song in the steering wheel / in the console?

2. Will the song title display in the console? I doubt it..

3. What about the Navigation is the song title display there in the Nav screen?

4. If no, in all above questions... Can it be setup for Ipod hookup to do that in question 1/2/3?

My alternate is burn all the song to MP3 CD/DVD..

5. I read you can play MP3 CDs in Nav system / regular system.... Will the song title display there? or just Track 1, 2, 3, etc..

6. Can the Nav system DVD setup play any mp3 DVD disc?

5. yes, I'm pretty sure as long as MP3 tags are valid

6. I mean mp3 DVD disc? So I can have about 4.7 Gig of music in 1 disc.

So the song title will show up on the Nav Screen or the 1-line console... I guess these maybe the way to go.

 

ID3 tag info should show up on the nav when playing MP3 DVDs.
