ECT Settings - IS250AWD
This may be a dumb question. I am sure you will tell me if it is
I have driven both the IS250AWD and the IS350. The 250AWD disappointed taking off from a dead stop. The 350 obviously didn't.
However I may not have given the 250AWD a fair shake of the stick as both times I drove it I neglected to select the ECT's 'Power' mode. My question, how much of a difference does switching to Power really make pulling away at the lights?
I realize it will not work miracles as 0-60 in 8.3 seconds is what it is, but I liked the 250AWD in all other aspects so I am grasping at straws as I really want AWD for winter (not to mention I can get the 250AWD fully loaded without much of a wait whereas I would have to settle for just the lux on the 350 and then wait who knows how long for it to arrive since this config is not currently in the allocations for this region).
Any thoughts, much appreciated.

Good point. I was driving dumb, just stuck it in Drive and took off.
I have an 03 ES300 (wifes) and an 01 Dodge Stratus Coupe 3L V6 (mine) and acceleration in the IS250 felt similar to both, although I was expecting more from it. Maybe I shouldn't since the 0-60 for all three are in the same ballpark. Of course the IS is far superior to my Dodge in all regards. We love our ES which is why I want a Lexus for my next ride
