Question Some questions

If you get the Performance luxury plus package, can you choose if you want summer tires or high performance all seasons? I thought I read somewhere that you can get the Michelin Pilot sport A/S.

What are the chances that a manual will be offered on the IS350?

What kind of the sat. radio will be offered (XM or Sirius)? Where will the antenna be located on the car? Will it be like how the Infiniti's are? I don't like how the sat. radio antenna looks on the G35. I prefer the Acura's.
Does Lexus have something similar to BMW assist? I still haven't seen a picture of the new IS with the shark fin.

I really like the IS350. The lack of a manual on the IS350 is really making me consider the 330i.

Here is what I know:

1) All season tires are standard for the 17 in, and summer tires are optional with the 18 in. Michelin will most likely supply both sizes.

2) Toyota/Lexus are affiliated with XM radio, not Sirius. The satellite antenna may not be integrated with the rear window, but rather a fin or small flat antenna attached by magnet.
2a) Check out previous posts for possible fin attachements that may be offered in the US.

3) Lexus does not have something similar to BMW assist.

4) Although the new IS lacks a manual, it still provides a little more control with the manumatic. I think the biggest problem that the IS will have is not the lack of a manual, but rather the lack of a kill-switch for the VDIM. I'm pretty sure someone will figure out how to turn it off after a couple months from release. The 330i is a great car, but you won't get as much standard equipment, safety, speed (the IS is faster, even as an automatic), and value as what the IS will provide. It comes down to personal preference. Don't forget that you're asking Lexus enthusiasts, so I'm pretty sure you're going to get very skewed opinions from this forum.

Good luck!
