can you tell me if there is concrete info if there will be a sportcross/wagon version of the new IS?

i am in the market..but dont want to buy a 2005..and get stuck with a old modle right away.

Highly unlikely. Current rumor has the SportCross being replaced by a smaller-than-RX crossover/SUV that would be a direct competitor to the BMW X3.

 

hmm thats good news.that i can then get the 2005 sportcross from longo.

i called a local dealer today....and the guy said and I am quoting "the next gen IS will be based on teh lsc/lss platfrom. this platform will have a wagon version. thus i think you buying the IS sportcross will be a mistake, since a new one is right around the corner. I suggest you lease on and then you can step up to the new one, when it comes."

lastly, when are the new IS going on sale, just curious? I know the GS is for sale in spring I think.

It's not the premiere of the car itself in the metal. Rather, it's the first look at photos and an introductory brochure. At least, that's what they're saying.

 

hehe yeah...actually read some of the posts just now and saw the mention how it is just photos and info. Guess that teaches me to skip posts before replying.
