Default No Crank, No Start Electrical issues

Hi Everyone,

I've found a lot of good information on this website as I work through troubleshooting my car troubles and it's been a couple months now without a working car I finally thought I'd open up a thread and see what kind of help I might get. My story might be a little long but hopefully someone out there will stay with me and help me out before I just part the car out.

About three months ago we had a lot of rain and I was going down a hill and my car (2007 lexus is250 automatic) died the middle of the road. I pushed it to the curb and tried to start it but it would only crank no start. I got a jump from two different vehicles shortly after, same thing crank but no start. I noticed something strange though. On my dash cluster where you see the gear position, it was not showing it to be in park all the time. sometimes it woild be and I could crank but no start and other times it wasn't present, so no start either.

I got the car towed to a buddies house and we screwed around with the gear shifter a bit kinda cleaning things up in there, checked all the fuses they seem to be good, we replaced the battery, and then we replaced all new positive and negative battery cables/terminals and cleaned up the grounds, still no start. I had a few friends come take a look and they all started suggesting different thjngs, one said replace the crankshaft position sensor so I did that, still no start. I tried to plug in a code reader to see what was up but it says it can't locate the OBD scanner. I also noticed that my push button doesn't turn green and it also skips to the accessory mode. you know how you need to push the button twice to start the car, we'll mine skips that first push part and jumps right to accessory mode but won't crank or start and still doesn't show the gear position that the car is in which should be Park. So the car doesn't crank and doesn't start.

I'm not the best with electrical but I checked fuses under the hood and in both driver and passenger side and they all seem to be good and showing 12.4v. I went into the passenger side fuse box and unplugged all the connectors to the fuse box which I think would be the Body ECU and the gateway ECU AND started to check the wiring harness pins one by one and on the larger connector at the top of the ECU had two pink wires which I'm assuming should read 12.4 but they are not reading anything it's almost as if they are grounds but I can't seem to find an actual diagram that shows me what each of those wires goes to for that whole ECU which is frustrating cause it could be at least a small part of the problem.

Oh another thing, my car back when this first happened I could hear the fuel pump priming when I was able to crank the car but now can't hear that either. Seems that I'm dealing with a major electrical problem due to watee damage somehow from all the rain due to a bad Rear windshield replacement job that water does get in sometimes in random places.

I'll leave it at that for now. that's pretty much the guts of what i have going on.

thanks for any help you all might have. I'll should be quick to respond with any questions. My skill level with cars is novice for sure. I'm trying to avoid spending a ton. I have a bunch of replacement parts from pick n pull but I dont want to just start replacing things that don't need to and make matters worse possibly.
