Hey need some advice here on what to do. I just bought a 2008 Lexus is250 with 165k miles 3 weeks ago. Within the first week I replaced the water pump bcs it started leaking coolant, so got that fixed. Second week replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor bcs the check engine light came on. Now 2 days later I have the p2714 and p0761 codes popping up. The car is running perfectly fine, no problems shifting, doesn’t go into limp mode, doesn’t get stuck in a certain gear, but I’ve read other threads of what people have done to solve the problem. I’m not sure where to start if I should go ahead and change the solenoid, change the transmission fluid, or go ahead and do both at the same time. I’ve read other threads also saying it could be low voltage. The battery hasn’t been changed in 4 years, so I’m not sure if that could be an issue also. I really don’t know want it to be that the transmission is giving out but I think I’d be able to tell if it is or not. Any advice or recommendations help.
I had this issue a while back, my car just wouldn't shift into 5th and 6th, and I also had check VSC and the traction control light on. Took out a scanner and I also pulled code P2714, did some research from the thread Cienfueg mentioned and solenoid S4 was the problem. I ended up buying a new aftermarket S4 solenoid, drained the old transmission fluid, installing the new solenoid, and then added some new transmission fluid. Everything went smoothly, after closing it up and starting it, and it's been over 6 months and it runs smoothly with no issues. Do you also have a Check VSC indicator? What about shifting into drive? Does that cause the vehicle to jerk?

yea I have a check vsc indicator on and traction control light on also. The weird thing is that I don’t have any problems shifting in any gear it drives perfectly fine, so idk if it’s a faulty code or not bcs it also went away without doing anything
Is your car able to shift into 5th and 6th? How often does the check vsc and traction indicator come on before going off?
yes it shifts to 5th and 6th gear fine. The first few times it would go and come back after about 30 minutes to an hour of driving but for the past 2 days it hasn’t came back on
