Default AC mode not changing

09 IS350 NON-NAV
hello guys, I recently installed an aftermarket head unit from aliexpress because my ac stopped working on my original head unit. after replacing the head unit, the ac problem seemed to be fixed, other than I cannot change the mode(where the ac blows) it is stuck on defrost and only blows out of the defroster vents. I do not believe any servo motors are bad as the car wasn't originally on defrost before replacing the ac so it must've defaulted there somehow.
anybody run into this issue before? please let me know if you have any ideas where to start! thanks

The only thing I can think of is in one of the settings (you might need a code to get in it), you have to make sure the CANBUS is set correctly for your car. The aftermarket motherboards for these stereos are made for a wide range of brands/models.
