I couldn’t find this in any previous thread so apologies if it was already posted. My friend has his 09 IS 250 serviced regularly by a reliable mechanic, but no one can figure out why the check system light stays on (picture attached).
Mechanic stays its a manufacture problem but the car is fine as far as he is concerned. It’s been smogged about a month ago with no problem. Car drives smoothly, undercarriage became loose a year ago but he fixed that. Anyone have a similar problem or advice on what to do?
That is a tire pressure monitoring system warning, that's what that icon on the top means. Probably means the car is having an issue reading the sensors.
If your "mechanic" didn't know that, they are a horrible mechanic and you need to find a new one.
