Speed limiter not existing?
Sup,
Just out of curiosity, what top speed have you achieved with your IS250?
In the papers it says that the maximum is 230kmh (143mph) but I personally have already managed without problems 260kmh (161mph). (German autobahn without speed limit) - Can it be that the IS250 is not limited? None of the previous owner has removed it trough software

The speedo on Lexus vehicles is pretty accurate but I've noticed on both of mine they are always a wee bit high compared to GPS when you get up in speed. Still that doesn't explain why you got a more than expected top speed. Maybe somebody else can chime in.
It is a German model. The first owner ordered it from Lexus in late 2005, then the car was purchased by another guy here in Germany in 2008, then in 2021 it was sold to my region in Germany, but the owner didn't have it long until I bought it in late 2022.

US 350 limits at 143mph. I can confirm this. I don't recall it being a rev limit issue, suspect if one monitored the throttle body position they may see the position decline. Honestly never thought about how they implemented this feature.
You don't see many IS in Germany.
The last registration numbers I have are 288 IS250s, 71 IS220ds, about 300(+-50) IS200s. (jan. 2023) So they are relatively rare to see. There could be more, these are just the ones that were registered on 1st Jan.
16" rims were an factory option I. have OEM 16" rims as my (old) summer tires and any 16" cheap rims for my winter tires. - now i swiched to 18", it looks 100times better
The problem is because the XE2 is so "rare" I have few legal modification options.
