Good day, can you advise which higher amp alternator can be used to replace the old 90A 3 Phase alternator in the Beams 1G-FE Lexus Altezza Engine? Can the 1JZ or 2JZ Alternators work or bolt up?

 

not a lot of US stateside folks that have or know about these but i would ask the 1st gen IS or even some supra folks.

Is there any particular reason you are looking for an upgrade? I wouldn't suggest to go higher than about 110-120A alternator on the stock system, they weren't designed for such loads, for a bigger amperage, you will likely need a new B+ wire and ALT fuse.

An alternator off of 3S and 5S engines look an awful lot like the ones on the 1G engine. To make sure, you can take your alternator to any car parts store and compare it with the one for some 2000 Camry, which there should be plenty of them.

P.S. I knew Altezza came with 1G engine, but I never knew there was an IS200 sold here.. I wonder how much cheaper it was compared to its JZ counterpart, since in Japan, it at least makes sense from their tax policy..
