2001 is300 - Lost Keys - Need to Bypass Security
I no longer have the keys to my car.
I was quoted $1700 just to get a basic laser cut key. Not happening.
I managed to find an ecu/immobilizer/ignition (with valet key) and glow ring which successfully allowed me to get it running but the steering is locked.
From what I've read, when swapping the ignition - you have to put the key to ACC before taking the original key out. But since I didn't intend on losing my original key, I removed it as I usually would - in the OFF position.
Now that the ecu, immobilizer etc has been installed, it starts and goes into gear (by pushing the little button by the shifter) but as I said, the steering is locked.
What is the best way to get the ignition cylinder out without damaging the car too much? Do i have to drill or hammer it out or will it come out once I take out all the screws?
please help!
thanks

I already got a whole new assembly. Complete with key, immobilizer, glow ring, and ignition cylinder. I even have it all hooked up but since I can't turn the key to accessory I have to get the original cylinder out in order to unlock the steering wheel.
