Nameplate interpretation
Hey folks
I am trying to understand the cryptic coding that Toyota gives to their Lexus/Celsior models. For example what does UCF11-AEPQK or UCF10-AEPGK actually mean. I have looked in the forum as best I could but couldn't find the information. I found something on the Lextreme forum but its not complete and I would like to fact check them anyway.
Can anybody help?

I've only been able to decipher that the first letter denotes engine family. The next 4 letters-numbers are the specific chassis.
However that naming system doesn't work for the IS300. I have no idea why ours is called JCE10 when there's a SXE10 and GXE10. Our cars should be called JXE10s
