On my IS300 I opted to liven it up with Eibach springs, and Bilstein struts. It's very planted, responsive, and coincidentally what the L-tuned version of the vehicle came with.
I am looking to do my suspension shock replacement as well and looking at bilsteins... maybe on black friday sale. A shop told me to have the strut mounts replaced as well, but you are saying don't need to? I do have oem shocks up front with 180k miles and its clunking and leans on turns and recoil oscilation. perhaps its the worthless shocks bottoming out and over extended causing the thumping? what is a sign of the strut mount going bad? I also have kyb rears with unknown mileage on them.
