Default 2001 IS300 225k worth buying ?

hey guys I found a good deal on a rare 01 burnt orange with black interior. It’s flawless however it has 225k miles on it. They are asking $3700 I was thinking offer 3. What do you guys think.

You should offer $2700, and if they say they cant do that then tell them to meet in the middle at $3200. I wouldn't pay anymore than that considering mileage + the maintenance that may be needed (assuming it hasn't been done already).

I wouldn't pay more than $2000 for that car given that the motor and the transmission likely need to be changed at some point in the near future. Not getting in car wrecks and not destroying the interior doesn't keep a vehicle from wearing out moving parts. It doesn't matter if you use synthetic oil or you change it religiously.

Since when is 225k high miles for an NA 2jz, with proper maintenance? I mean it should easily last to 300k+ as long as you keep up with maintenance

What percent of 300 is 225 and then you tell me if that's considered the high end of percentage range between 0 and 100.

I think that qualifies as "high miles".
