Cost to replace front head lights (bulbs)??
I'm being quoted around $500 to replace just the front bulbs in the standard night time lights (not the fog or hi-beams). The bulbs apparently cost $175 each. This is from a lexus dealership. Does this sound right to you? Will other places be able to do this for less? Thanks for the help.
If anyone has info on how to do this myself that would be great.

From my research and the help of those above, the low beams are HID lights (D2R as noted above) which run around ~100 each. I bought them myself and took them to a shop who put them in for $130, so a total cost of around 330.

The OEM bulbs are expensive, especially from the dealer, sure. There are many reasonable aftermarket alternatives, though. I have used the Kensun brand with good success.

Just purchased some aftermarket bulbs for 19.99 shipped. No way I would spend that much on a HID bulb especially when you can purchase a complete quality kit for 129.
