I had four disks loaded in my CD Changer that has worked flawlessly for years, when during a CD change, the Changer halted and posted "Error 4" on the screen. The manual tells me to go to the dealer, but we all know that won't be an inexpensive trip. Is there some way to reset the Changer, or at least to get it to eject the four CDs?

Okay, I tried removing the power to the unit, and then restoring it. Now the CD Changer doesn't even flash an error code, the Tape player doesn't work, and all I have now is an AM/FM radio with four personally valuable CDs stuck inside. Questions:

1. Can someone recommend an aftermarket head unit to replace this piece of crap?
2. How do I go about retrieving my CDs without damaging them?

Answers will be deeply appreciated.
