Spit & Sputter after negative unhooked
hello, this we'll be my first post, I am aware of the search button before anybody decides to bring that up. This isn't my first Yota but maybe my last.
Checked my codes a few days ago after a jump which lead the car running very oddly. Studding on acceleration, idled fine, Codes, random misfire, 1,3,5. Drove it for a few days and it seemed to go away.
I just recently replaced my valve cover gaskets, cleaned up the intake a little.Oils of oil on top of 1,3,5., had no other way of draining oil other then into the cylinder. Made sure i got a good seal on everything and cleaned up some oil that was sludge in the intake (?). Adjusted my throttle cable, removed slack and put everything back together, turned the motor over. Idled smooth, 800rpm. Gave it some rpm's to burn the oil out of the cylinders and noticed, I was back to the same issue as before when i jumped the car.
Almost dying while accelerating, idles fine, little to no miss under WOT. Has anyone on here experienced this? I recently bought the car. Fixing or trying to fix what the last owner rigged or slapped together. I'm just looking for some advice and some useful information. This isn't my first time on the board, I don't rememeber my log in info and my last few toyota's were an SC & Supra.
