Hello all. I used to be active here on CL. Sold the SC, and decided to come back.

I'm very picky of the car I drive. Had a 97 Black on Black 5 Speed SC300. (Unicorn of them all)
Missed driving a luxury 2JZ powered car so I've decided to return to the game.

I searched for months and was able to find this.

2003 IS300
Black Exterior
Black Full Leather Interior
Fully loaded - Navi - LSD (VIN code - A/TM B02B)
180k miles (Unfortunately)
Clean Title

*New Brakes / Tires / Clutch / All fluids changed.
*Cons need a Timing Belt Job and Plugs .

I hope to learn a lot from your gurus on this forum.
I have big plans for this car.
Just finished washing the car, clay baring it and waxing it.
Just need to find a way to get crystal clear headlights.
I've read the IS300 headlights are cheap and are a PITA to get clear.

-Pick up a spare 2JZ Block and fully build it and go NA-T with a T71 Kit.

Comments welcomed!

Looks good! Welcome back to the community. Just a fair warning, the IS300 group on here is pretty dead. I'm also a relatively new IS300 owner, and I've noticed that those guys are a lot more active on FB than anywhere else. my.IS is also a good resource to use

Damn, that thing is clean for that many miles!!

Timing belt and plugs are super easy in terms of doing it yourself, it just costs about 500-600

There's always headlights for sale on the forums - just saw a good set on My.IS actually.

That is a gem!

Almost better to know it needs a timing belt rather than wonder when the F the previous owner changed the timing belt. Piece of mind is worth the cost of the job. Dont do low quality, **** mods : )

Haha looks Awsome! Your just like me that's hilarious, missed all my sc300s, so much that I sold my 08 legacy gt for a is300 because of the muxh love of the lexus and it's 2jz! I had to do a full claybar, scratch remover amd polish and wax to get mine back into order. Headlights do clean up preety good il post pics

Went ahead and did the DIY black housing headlight for my first mod. I'll let the pictures speak.

Before buffing the lenses

After buffing the headlights.

Taken out from car

Put in the oven for baking.

Disasembled.

Ready for paint.

3 layers.

Reinstalled.

Very clean. I'm shopping as well, and a little scared of the high mileage ones, only because I want to be able to sell the car in a year. But that's really clean looking. You did a good detail job.

People do so much to these cars they just kill the original beauty of it. That looks TOOO clean for 180k

Clean car and great find.

I think all of us IS300 guys are cut from the same cloth. Hopefully I'll be adding an SC (or 2, damn this addiction) to my stable in the not too distant future. Absolutely wonderful highway cruisers.

Keep the mods clean and the updates frequent.
