Lexus IS300 OCV
I own a 2001 Lexus IS300 that I may need some advice on. I had a mechanic do some work on the car, and told me my OCV may be gone. He unplugged it, and without it the car was running well. Slight loss of power. Im getting a knew one to replace it. The car has began too show similiar symptoms as to when it was plugged in. Sputter at warmer temperatures and... well die. Which I suspect is a VVTi issue noting that this only happens after an hour of driving.
However, the codes it gave me were P1656 (probably OCV), P1349 (hopefully OCV) and a P1300. Now the P1300 is the one thats got me confused. That is from what I have read, a IGT/IGF circtuit issue. Or just plain ol ECU... However with the OCV malfunctioning or not plugged in at all, would that have any capabilities of prompting a P1300? If anyone knows would be great! I would like to just grab this OCV and be done with it. When I pulled it out and checked the filter. the filter was spotless... OCV clean. Guessing Solenoid. K hoping... solenoid.
