Transmission fluid change
Hey guys,
I have a question:
Should I get a transmission flush at a toyota dealer ship? I was quoted about 240 or so for the job or should I do it myself? I looked up DIY tutorials and I feel like I am not experienced or skilled enough to do it. I was thinking I should drain it, refill it with new fluid and repeat it for about a month. My guess is that by the end of the month all the bad fluid is diluted out with new fluid and all i should see is new fluid at the last drain at the end of the month.
What do you guys think?
My car is at 124k miles. It's an 01 auto is300

Might want to be careful on that flush, if it has an excessive amount of miles.
A lexus service advisor told me to stick to a svc(drain/refill) seeing as im pushing 167k. He had several come back with slipping transmissions after the flush.
