Hi guys I have a 2001 Is300 lexus and I'm a girl so I would know much bout cars but ever since I went on a drive bout 16 miles out and came back with passengers with me my driver side rear tire started squeaking. A day after riding by myself I noticed it didn't make the sound no more till I had back seat passengers. What seems to be the problem?

Then a couple days after while driving by myself and going over bumpbs it squeaks again, now it comes and goes espcially on bumpy roads. Can someone please tell me what's wrong with this lexus.

Friends say it could be the breaks which I know I needa change but why is the rear driver side only. Squeakin! Help!

 

i dont think its the tire itself. usually sqeaking when going over bumps is a sign of a bad strut mount.

 

struts, mounts, springs, things that go up and down are what you want to look at. how many miles does your vehicle have on it?

 

had the same problem and it was my struts. are you on stock suspension?

 

Yes I have stock suspension. How did you replace it and what were the costs? What are struts exactly?

 

My lexus has 140,000 plus on it. I haven't been driving it in fear that it will break down.
