Diffrence between 01 and 04 airbags?

Diffrence between 01 and 04 airbags?
My shop says the 01 airbags are stated as not interchangeable with 04, I have a 04 is300, but can only find 01-03 airbags for sale.. they look to be the same shape and everything, does anyone know why they are not stated as interchangeable
