I am trying to see if anybody has tried customizing their 4 bar grill into an altezza. I did convert my 3 bar grill into altezza which was pretty easy modding the tabs of the grill and popping in the altezza emblem.
I am replacing the 3 bar with the 4 bar because my 3bar is cracked and paint is chipping. I thought when I bought the 4bar grill it would be the same concept as the 3bar but the 'L' Emblem is embedded into the grille. I can't just pop in the altezza emblem into the 4 bar grill.

Just wondering if anyone has tried doing some kind of customization to the 4bar grill to fit the altezza emblem?
Any help is appreciated?

Picture is the grilles with stock oem 'L' on 4 bar and 3 bar. I grabbed this pic online somewhere for reference.

 

i see how you could do that with the 3 bar. the 4 bar sounds like its gonna be an issue. let me know how it goes!
if anything, i have the 3 bar in black/chrome i'm trying to get rid of. but regardless, i'd like to know how the 4 bar goes...

Sorry I didnt get a picture of how I attached to the L but simply cut out as much as possible and have a slot to put the tab of the emblem in and its held by Quik Steel for safe and secure its not coming off.

Pics of the old 3 bar and I removed the altezza emblem from that to the new 4bar grill. 3bar grille is crap (paint peeling all tabs are broken, etc)

 

Not looking that great...

 

I've never really liked the stock grills all that much to begin with, but I'd say its a slight improvement, and if you like it, then awesome.
