I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think somebody cut through the spare tire compartment to make room.

special mods? yeah you'll need a custom exhaust. most exhaust shops should be able to make one for you. but its really useless. the IS has a inline 6 motor. a true dual exhaust is for V shaped motors.

Yea its personal preference but Like baadhabit said it would have to be custom made which usually isn't too expensive. If your going turbo in the future dont waist your time

You don't have to worry about back pressure as long as you make the diameter of the piping smaller after you Y the exhaust

The GS has dual exhaust. They both share the same motor. So it doesn't have to be a V6 to have dual exhaust.

remove plastic on driver's side. Plenty of room for an exhaust. Add custom piping from y-pipe. No need to cut through spare tire well.
