Default 2003 & 2005 oem wheel finish the same?

Hey guys,

can someone please clarify if the oem wheels off a 2003 IS300 are the same silver finish as off a 2005 IS300.. I have wheels off a 2003 and they are gloss silver, are the 05's hypersilver or silver. Same shade of silver?

You are probably referring to graphite vs. the standard silver. IIRC, the graphite color was listed as an option in my paperwork from the dealership.

rvalero, thanks for the response. I believe the 04s & 05s came with a darker silver tone than the 03s. I have a wheel from an 04 sportcross and its a darker silver than the one from an 03 sedan. Maybe sportcross' came with the darker silver perhaps.. Oh and mine have the machined edges.. Thing is, i ordered a set of 2 IS300 wheels from an 05 and im hoping they are the same silver finish as my 03 IS wheels. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Interesting, I've never heard that before. I guess it's also possible that the wheel was repainted. Good luck with the color match.

Rvalero, I got the 2 '05 wheels in today, they are the same exact siliver finish as my 03s. Weird, bc the 2004 17 by 7.5 wheel off the sportcross is a darker silver.. ANyways, cant wait to get the 05s widened to 9"!

Pretty cool. How much does it cost to do something like that?
