Default Joining Club Lexus here.. Few shots of the SportX

Well I always try to introduce myself when I join a new forum. Soooo.. Here goes. I am Fish, yes thats my name. I am a car enthusiast and have a problem with spending way too much money on a car and then getting rid of it lol. I am from the Euro side of things. I currently work at a VW/Audi specialist shop and this is my first Lexus. I have owned SEVERAL modified cars;

2005 RX8 GT
2001 Jetta 1.8BT
2000 Jetta VR6
1990 Corrado G60
1989 BMW 325
1997 Jetta VR6
2004 Subaru STI BUILT
1999 Honda Civic HB

And I am sure I am forgetting one somewhere in that list. But anywho.. needless to say I am enjoying the IS and look forward to meeting new people on this forum along the way of ownership.

On to my car... Nothing much yet. Just kinda got started on it. 2002 OB SportX. Tein Super Street coilovers with EDFC. Slotted rotors. BBS RS's 17X8 +35 17X9 +40 just completely refinished in candy teal powder coat. This is the only couple pics I have how it sits now and yes I had a little fun with the editor on a few. Feedback is welcome.. Sorry the car is filthy.. Snow = salt on the roads.

Not too sure. Have already had thoughts of getting back into a VW and been looking at the MKIV R32's. I just dont know if I could cough up a payment right now though especially after just getting all the service done on the SPortX. I had the cam seals, timing belt service and other major services done on top of the new brakes, wheels, tires and suspension. Nothing like coughing up over $4k for a car in a month lol

I think I have only owned two cars for over a year.. I loved my Jetta and I had plans for the STI being a race car...

But heres a brief view at previously owned cars with ownership time lol...

2005 RX8 GT 7 months

2001 Jetta 1.8BT My pride n joy for 2 and a half years.. Miss it!!!

2004 BUILT STI 2 years

1989 BMW 325 5 months

1990 Corrado G60 3 months lol

2000 Jetta VR6 6 months

1997 Jetta VR6 8 months

2004 S2000 3 weeks

1981 VW Rabbit Truck Diesel 2 months

I go through cars. I have owned the Lexus for over a year now And so far still pleased with it. All cars I buy are bought stock so I have also wasted enough money to buy something extremely nice. The cars pictures are just in the past couple of years and doesnt include everything I have owned lol

Welcome, Very unique spotx and some nice past rides as well. i can't believe all the cars you have been through! really, I think maybe you should just add a few more mods, like a intake and keep it the way it is, and buy a cheap VW, like a jetta III9 Yes, I liked your jetta on BBS wheels the best), and go crazy with that! You can buy them really cheap, and the sky is the limit!, I am always inspired by peformance VW magazine for example, the cars become art forms.

Yeah I work at a VW/Audi specialty shop in Knoxville. I can get cars on da cheap lol. I am looking into getting another VW now. Not sure if its in the budget. If I buy another VW it is going to be a MKI/MKII. Really wanting a MKI diesel rabbit

It depends on what wheels you want. I am trying to sell my BBS RS's I just refinished already lol. The car once again has had all the major maintenance done recently and I just put a lot of time and money into it. The car has 95K miles on it as of now and only downfall about it is that the OB paint clear coat sux. It has leaf spots and such and really needs a respray if you are as picky as I am. Nothing mechanically wrong whatsoever, and being as how I am not pressed to sell it I would say.. With the BBS RS's : $13.5K with the crimson inc. : $12K and with the stock wheels : $11.5K Only mods on the car is K&N drop in, Alpine CDA-9886 deck, Tein Super Street coilovers, slotted rotors, window tint and LED interior lighting.
