heres what i did to get my LSD. i went to car-parts.com. search for "locking carrier" then started calling the yards listed in my area. i would ask for the year, mileage and VIN the LSD is from then i called Lexus corp and have them look up the VIN and check the options listing to see for sure if that car came with a LSD. Lexus corp was also able to tell me year of the car and last time that car was serviced at a Lexus dealer and the mileage logged. so i was able to confirm a few things before purchasing. once i received the LSD i took it to a shop to make sure it was truly locking.

 

that sounds like the best plan to go with so you know when and if diff. fluid was ever changed and how well the car was taken care of and the miles on the diff. provided it hasnt ever been replaced. good thinking!!!
