Default Thread confusion

Im peviously from the SC forum, and am looking at buying a 2000 IS300. I went to the suspension forum and saw only one thread? The car im looking at on the internet says it needs a ball joint. Has 111,000 miles. Are we talking about a replaceable ball joint or an upper or lower A- arm. Thanks

Lower ball joint is replaceable.
Upper... factory recommends and dealer will only sell the entire arm, will not sell the upper ball joint seperately. There are companies who sell replacement A arms with more adjustability as well as companies selling aftermarket ball joints with adjustability.

On the SCs it was always the bottom ball joint and not servicable.
