alright, new problem i need some advice with..i went to check out the progress on my car..everything looks great!..new door, quarter panel, and front bumper are all on the car and primed ready for paint..they also took out a few dents for me that werent even caused by the accident ..only problem is my dashboard..i have the "melting dash" problem and it suckkss cause they scratched it all up..it would be easy to tell them that they have to replace it or fix it but this is my good friends body shop..my insurance wont cover any damage done by the shop, they say it has to go thru the actual shops insurance (which is my friends)...would it be wrong of me to tell my friend that im not accepting my car back until the dash is back to normal?..i dont want to ruin a friendship..lol i chill with this guy alot so hes a pretty good friend and all but this is the business end....this would be a good opportunity for me to ge a new dash tho..lol..considering Lexus refused to help me with the problem even tho it is cleary a defect with the material and is totally Lexus's fault..lol

If he's a good friend he should be alright with getting you a new dash. Just explain it to him as nicely as possible.

now if he's a cheap b@st@rd(no offense) he's gonna try to say that its not their fault and it was like that....just bring it up....like fay said....nicely

thanks guys for your advice, i just got back from the shop and snapped a few shots of the new paint..looks a little bit off to me bt what do you gus think?..will it cure and get a little darker to match the original paint?..they sprayed the hood, passenger quarter panel and the whole passenger side of the car all the way back to the trunk..im hopin it will match up ..let me kno what u guys think

Quarter panel and door fixed

Looks like a drift car without the bumper lol (minus an intercooler )

The drivers side quarter panel and the hood dont really match..what do you think?

it does look like the new panels have a redish hue to them.

this is why i hate dealing with family or friends. cause sometimes to get stuff done right you have to be tough on those doing the work....its harder to do that with those you are close with. when they sprayed it, they should have at least feathered in the paint onto the other panels. its not a maaco paint job. the shop needs to know about the issue.

yeah that's y i got the whole car repainted cuz i didnt believe that with them just fading it to the rest of the car will be to my liking so i just forked out the extra dough to get the entire car fixed up
