about a week ago i was drive home from work with the radio off. i started to notice a hissing/spooling noise after my rpms drop down. my car is stock no aftermarket performance parts. the noise reminds me of my bro wrx when it spools or a quiet bov.

any suggestions on what to look out for?

u know the services done to ur car when u bought it?? timing belt needed as waterpump needs to be replaced at 90,000

 

is it constant or rotational sounding?

 

Any luck on this? I have something similar but more of a rotating sound.

 

check all your vacuum hoses? mods like intake or anything?

 

It's not that type of noise, it's a rotational sound I would say.

 

Rotational, everyone once in awhile. I think when im on the gas from a sit still, but if im easy on the gas its seems to be fine. i really just ignored but i shouldn't.
