Default IS300 engine life

How many miles can an IS300 engine take before its done for good?,
post your car odometer reading and what have you done to keep it counting.

'02 with 35k. Change the oil...lol.

yes...keeping the car lubricated is the #1 thing to do, but I wonder if that will help my car reach over 200k miles.

You can get 300k on the 2JZGE if you keep the oil changed. Also, use only Denso Iridium plugs in it, change water pump and timing belt every 90k. That inline six is a beast and lasts forever. Plus, it has a perfect silken snarl.

02 with 58k and runnin like a beast but than again thats not that much lol i got a friend wit an 92 sc400 with 210k on it and has had no problems different engine but just goes to show that lexus has there **** right and if u take care of it it'll take care of u =))))

i run it on full synthet oil too idk wat u guys prefer but i always go with fully sythentic with all my cars seems to be better for the car too

oo and also probably the biggest thing is to actually run it on premium not just regular and thats about all i got

i've got a 01 is300 w about 97.5 on it. runs like a champ. fixing to change timing belt and w.p soon. also run some sea foam thru it next time i change oil.

I drove hard on it and had about 87k when I traded it in. Never had any issues and I drove it all over the east coast and in Chicago rush hours and horrible winters. I did use Mobil 1 as well.

My odometer is at 99k and I drive the hell out of it. No problems, as stated above just change the timing belt, water pump, cam seals and serpentine belt and you should be fine
