Thumbs up

Not a typo. 1600 IS3s will make it into the states with the 5-speed starting in August. Found it in Road & Track.

Is Lexus finally getting a clue?

And I will be getting one. That car will become force-fed as well, it will be a ClubLexus project car.

Details to be posted soon......

Question

Excuse my ignorance, but I got a letter from Lexus this week talking about the IS300 sportcross or something like that. What is this IS300 sportcross edition? Is it like a club sport for racing?

The IS300 sportcross is a cross between the IS300 and a station wagon. Go here to see a picture of the car in the gallery section

Exclamation Do tell us...

Lexus Pilot:

You received a letter from Lexus about the new SportsCross?

Wow. How did you get to be so privileged? (No sarcasm intended.)

Turbo 3 liter, rear drive, 5 speed manual, this will be the Honda camps nightmare. This car should be able to make 400hp fairly easily. To compete, a lightweight Honda would need to have at least 300hp, no easy feat out of 1.6 to 2.0 liters. Still, I know of at least 1 500hp 1.6ltr DAILY DRIVER. Lets just say the owner (TOO) is an engine genius.
