Arrow Lexus Factory Navi

I have been in the market to get a Navigation/DVD player. I have been eye balling Pioneer and Kenwood double dins which are in the price range of 700-1000$

I also notice my car looks naked on the top of the dash, where some lexus were equipped with a factory navigation system. My question is, is this navigating system worth buying? Also can I watch dvd's on the same screen?

there are many threads on here and on my.is about this option. unfortunately its not worth the trouble of trying to piece together an entire oem setup. its not as simple as it would seem.

now what ive been considering is buying the shell that goes on the dash (the part that has the oem screen and ac vents) and swapping out the oem screen for a garmin gps unit with the 7" widescreen for navigation. but again its very pricey unless you find one someone is selling. or one laying in a junk yard somewhere.
