Default Brake calipers!!

I was wanting to change the look of my brake calipers.... I would love to get a big brake kit, but the funds arent there at this time. Does Lexus have any red brake calipers I can order, and if so, what is the part number. I also want the stainless steel rotors too.. Any info. would be helpfull. The weather in the Midwest is getting better, and Im going to swap rims soon. Im tired of looking at the stock rotor/calipers. Help!?!?!!?

No Lexus does not have any red calipers. What you have to do is get your calipers painted or powdercoated yourself. This will be my next mod on my car painting the calipers red, using a duplicolor kit, you can find at any auto parts store. One option for the big brake kit is look into getting the claipers off the Supra ( search Supra brakes) this costs around a thousand dollars, not to cheap, but half the cost of the aftermarket BBK's.

You buy either Supra calipers, or the TRD BBK which is the same thing as the Supra kit, but comes with slotted rotors and the adapter hardware needed for them to fit an IS. They are also red.

if you decide to paint them, I would recommend using a clear coat, like an engine enamel as a final coat. It adds a nice shine and protects the paint finish rather well. Good luck

there really is no need to get a BBK for our cars unless you plan to track it frequently. Our stock brakes are very good, i think 60-0 takes 119 ft. I upgraded my setup with brembo cross-drilled rotors and axxis ceramics... wow, what a difference. The ceramic pads bit very well and the cross-drilled rotors increase brake cooling and help reduce warping. I recently took my car auto-xing at drivers school for the first time and the brakes held up very well, even my instructor was impressed with its stopping power. only other thing I would add is SS lines and upgraded fluids.

Get a JZA80 Supra Brake Kit. That is good enough for your Lexus
