I just picked up my first Lexus (02 IS) and have noticed that my tranny shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd very quickly. As soon as the RPM's hit 2,000, bam shifts to 2nd...then as soon as the RPM's hit 2,000 again (which is a matter of seconds) shifts again. Putting my foot into it doesn't seem to jack up the RPM's for shifting. Is this normal? Obviously I don't have this problem in Manual mode.

 

this doesn't sound that abnormal ... but i'll try and take note next time i'm out and not in a rush and post back

 

Dealership told me probably needs cable adjustment? Does that sound right?
