Default Car won't start

So I went to my car tonight and it won't start, yet it worked yesterday.

When I turn the ignition it won't start but instead makes a loud clicking sound and the lights in my AC lights blink. I assume the battery is lower than usual but is there anything else it could be? I plan to try to jump it when I wake up but is there anything else you all think it could be?

Thanks.

Most likely your battery is dead if all your lights are dimming/blinking.

The car is an 04 so it surprised me that it could die this soon.

The only other time the battery died was my fault for leaving my radio, lights, and stuff on all night but nothing was left on this time... Oh well. Going to jump it in a couple hours.

Yeah it sounds like a dead battery. The clicking is the starter solenoid. There's enough power to trip the solenoid, but not turn over the starter. Three years isnt real bad, but it could have been as simple as a dome light left on.

I had AAA come out this afternoon and couldn't jump it, so he ran a diagnostic thing on it and it was seriously dead...I now have a new battery and my car works again. That was something I didn't plan on today... Oh well.
